Monty is now broken and going well under saddle. He has been easy to handle since birth and takes all new challenges in his stride. He went to his first competition at 4 weeks of age and marched forward positively towards his class where he strode round after his Mum looking like a seasoned professional. He won the best foal in his class and was greatly admired by the judge. He showed a considerable amount of the type of competition pony attitude he was bred to have, ie ability with temperament. He has powerful movement and has jumped out of his field several times! Both his parents move well and jump with confidence and he seems to have inheirited these traits too. At the BEF Futurity Evaluation he received a higher 1st premium and was the only 3 year old Sports Pony at the Eventing Championships at Osberton His dams pedigree can be viewed at www.allbreedpedigree.com/langara+saffron. Maggie is now broken in and going well under saddle. She hacks out alone and in company, jumps and schools well on the flat. Her dam, Connie, was a good, reliable PC event mare until a genuine injury stopped her from competing. Connie was bred in Ireland and was competed regularly by a teenage girl until she was injured. She qualified for the BSPS summer championships 2006 working hunter pony, jumping a clear round. She was also placed 2nd at the same championships in the BSPS "Wilby" freestyle Heritage ridden pony large breeds class. Her pedigree can be viewed at www.allbreedpedigree.com/deirdres+pet.
